Well packaged?

Of all these talks about terrorism, I have been pondering about another kind of terror that most of us are either not aware of or don’t acknowledge it but very much prevalent in our country. I am talking about the TERROR OF PEN which is very generously being used by our white-collared pseudo writers and so called sophisticated urbane columnists, some of who also like to call themselves as social workers (read: not knowing anything about our social economic scenario) typically dressed in cottons or bling and making statements over what would give them more publicity as if it were gospel truth!

I have a hearty laugh whenever they make/write ignorantly frivolous comments/columns. And most of it is based on other well known people or celebrities or on some stupid holiday trip they have been on!

Have they really contributed anything to the society I wonder? Or maybe they have by providing mere ‘masala’ to be sold by some media house to create sensationalism and churn money.

What could be the recipe for this ‘masala’ to create ‘dhamaka’?

Expressing their unwarranted opinion on incidents pending proper investigation, half baked stories, an unauthorized peek into some famous personality’s personal life and sometimes engaging in catfights with other media people/actors to garner attention. Such attention seekers…And add to it a cynical bent of mind.

Now have they really inspired anybody?

No! Or maybe a few handful of some wannabes’ who want to ape them to earn fame and money but definitely nothing beyond it.

Well I pray for these writers and columnists to get well soon :)
At the same time I pray for my fellow citizens to get ‘viveka’ or the power of discrimination between truth and ‘masala’.

May peace and light prevail in every mind !

Jai Hind!
